Robert Lee Johnson died just shy of his 88 ^th birthday on Friday, March 18, after an adventurous life. Robert graduated from St. Ignatius High School and attended Stanford for his undergraduate and medical school years, graduating in 1959. He became an otolaryngologist, practicing in San Francisco for 45 years where he was very well-respected among his peers and patients alike.

He met and married his wife, of over 60 years, Barbara, while beginning his residency at Yale. They had three children: Doug, Stephanie and Bridget.

He loved tennis and was a devoted patron of the opera, symphony, ballet, theater, the 49ers, the Giants and Stanford football.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, their two daughters, Stephanie and Bridget, and four grandchildren: Kyle, Sabine, Lucas and River.
