Bernard "Bernie" Alvin White

Bernard, better known as Bernie, 82, went home to the Lord on October 3, 2026 at his home in San Tan Valley, AZ. His life was shortened by complications from cancer.

Bernard Alvin White was born on April 22, 1944 in Akron, Colorado to Leroy “Bill” Ellsworth White and Eleanor Adele Morrison White. He was their second child. Bernie attended school in Akron and graduated from Akron High School with the class of 1962. Bernie went on to college, attending Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado where he earned an associate degree and Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in September, 1966 and served in Vietnam 1967-1968. He left the service and moved to Longmont, Colorado where he worked at Beech Aircraft and other similar positions. His last position before a heart attack required him to retire was Shop Foreman at Wick’s Lumber in Longmont, Colorado.

Bernie met his wife Carol Lou Harrington in high school and was expected to marry, but life changed. They went their separate ways. God had a plan for them. They were able to reunite after 36 years and were married December 22, 2001 in Pinewood Springs, Colorado, close to their home in Estes Park, Colorado.

Bernie was a son, brother, loving husband, in-law, uncle, stepfather, grandfather, fabulous friend and most of all loved Jesus Christ. He always said “I have known Jesus was my Savior since I was a little kid“. He was preceded in death by his parents and only sibling, Delbert. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Carol, and many family members and friends. Memorial service will be held November 20th at 12 noon at Heart Cry Church, 9339 W Hunt Highway, Building C, Queen Creek, AZ 85144.
